Independent researchers tested theacrine in vivo to measure the effects of the compound on locomotion and to determine its mechanism of action. We tested the effects of TeaCrine®, a nature-identical purine alkaloid, on subjective measures of cognitive function, psychometric and hemodynamic (blood pressure)
indices in healthy humans in both pre-clinical and human clinical studies.*

 

Over a 3-hour period, two human clinical pilot trials with healthy participants
showed a statistically significant:

 

  • Increase in energy without jitters, irritability or habituation
  • Increases motivation to exercise
  • Decrease in feelings of fatigue
  • Increase in mental energy

 

The study also gathered data on safety and tolerance biomarkers, including heart rate and blood pressure. The second study revealed similar results to the first study while indicating that larger doses were not needed for optimal effects. In fact, the following study results show participants received benefits at a relatively low dose (200 mg).
